Hello, and welcome to my corner of the world. This blog site is being created as it goes with intention to cover an array of topics, but starting up it is themed around self love, body positivity, personal expression through our look and kindness spread through supporting and appreciating eachother through such means.
Body positivity is about confidence that starts from within, it’s about appreciating our own look. We create a look we like, perhaps more natural or perhaps ‘styled’, that we feel is expressive of ourselves. Looking in the mirror and liking what we see. When we have that mastered, confidence becomes unshakable. The support of others is wonderful, it’s great when someone else loves our look either by finding us incredibly attractive or appreciating the aesthetic in an ‘artful way’, or both.
However, it’s important that our personal taste is enough for us to appreciate our look, and that those who don’t agree don’t hinder our confidence but are merely seen as having ‘incompatible taste’. We then may show it off if we like, and feel the love from others in a better way with that confidence underneath.
And yes yes, it’s quite easy for me to support women showing off their bodies hehe, I would never dream of pretending that seeing beautiful plus size women in lingerie and bathing suits wasn’t a huge part of the fun 😍 But it’s also about encouraging confidence, and mutual appreciation. I’d certainly encourage anyone in showing themselves off for body positivity if they like to, whether I’m attracted to them or not. That includes men as well who I’m never attracted to as a straight man lol, we men can be part of body positivity not only as admirers but appreciating our own look as well.
It doesn’t have to be the ‘revealing pictures’ either, sometimes it’s fully clothed and styled for an expressive look. For me the look I create is meant to be expressive, things like my long hair and long beard, and always wearing a black top are meant to showcase meaningful feelings inside me, a look can show things that words have a hard time saying. It’s not a ‘skin deep’ thing because it’s meant to express what’s inside and show, and it’s great when someone sees it and it speaks to them.
